While we were in the Outer Banks for Ryan's wedding, we took the chance to take our little lovelies to the beach a few times. The first time we headed out, I brought down all of our gear and the tripod with hopes to take some great pictures, but it didn't go nearly as well as I had planned. It was a little windy, and Jack was very worried that our things were going to blow away and wouldn't venture off of his spot on the blanket. He sat there, holding on to as many things as he could to prevent them from blowing into the ocean. He was not a happy camper:( Hannah did okay, but she wanted to nap, and I was worried about keeping her in the shade so she wouldn't get a sunburn ~ she's got fair skin like her mama. Daddy and I decided to declare that trip a loss, and we packed up and headed back to the hotel room to get ready for Ryan's rehearsal. Here are the very few shots I got that afternoon:
Getting set up
Love this one
Worried about the wind
Snoozing by the sea
Ready to "go home" - Jack was the first one to the stairs by many yards:)
The day after the wedding, we decided to try again. It wasn't as windy, and it was later in the day after naptime, so we were hoping for happy babies. It went much better, but we still couldn't get Jack's toes in the water. It was hard to even get his back to the water for pictures to be honest...hopefully, that's a phase he'll grow out of. At least we were able to get some pretty cute shots!
Trying to get closer to the water
Posing on the stairs
I love our tripod:)
Family photo
One of my favorites - I love how they're looking at one another
Walking with my babies
I love the light in this one
Smile
Mama, the sun is in our eyes
Precious
Again...made possible by my self-timer and our tripod:)
Today, I'm missing those warmer temperatures and having my toes in the sand! I can't believe Halloween is next week.
