SeaWorld

Every day we woke up and prepared ourselves for the intense heat and exciting activities planned for the day.  I was getting better and better about dressing everyone in cooler clothes and putting Hannah's hair up high in a pony.  After the first day when we all nearly died, we brought water with us everywhere we went and carried a hairbrush with us to tame our daughter's wild mane.

On Thursday, we spent the day at SeaWorld.  We really love animals around here, as if you wouldn't know that by now, and this turned out to be one of the kids' favorite days while we were on vacation.  Nobody was sick, or sunburned, and we got to see everything we wanted and made it to our car in time to miss the torrential rainstorm that ensued.

I considered it very awesome that we got to visit on the 50th anniversary of SeaWorld.

Shamu was amazing!

But the dolphin/acrobatic/bird show?  Even more amazing!

After the show, I told Brad that when I grow up, I want to be an acrobat and swim with dolphins :)

Check out the difference in enthusiasm levels in our two children as they feed and touch the rays.  That's a squid in my little girl's hand.  And a smile on her face.

Cat nap in the stroller.

Hannah quickly became obsessed with this mother duck and her ducklings.

One of our favorites was this show-off that just whined for food.

What a good sport!

And not to be outdone - our silly goose!  I'm actually laying on the ground holding her up in this picture taken by Jack :)

Not sure I'd ever seen Moray eels in person before, but they look just as creepy in person as they do in The Little Mermaid!

I love this.

After our day at SeaWorld, we headed to Benihana for dinner, where they too were celebrating their 50th anniversary, ironically enough.

It was a really good day.
