Poolside

Jack's been asking us to go to the big, outside pool since it started to get warm outside.  Since Hannah was feeling better on Saturday (more on that later, I promise), we decided to lather up the kids, put on their suits, and take them to the pool for the first time this season.

Jack's been taking swimming lessons since last summer, and he's gotten much better although I wouldn't necessarily say that he can swim.  His comfort level in the water has gone way up, and he knows how to blow bubbles, kick, and use his arms, but I wouldn't just toss him in to see what he can do, if you get my drift.  He can go for about 5-7 seconds from what we've seen during his lessons.  We were curious about how he'd be at our big pool this year, and he did so great!  He practiced his swimming with Daddy while Hannah and I mostly hung out in the shade (it was so hot, and we are so pale).  He even went off the diving board a few times with Daddy's supervision, and he was so proud of himself!  Then he played in the shallow end for a bit and we let Miss Hannah explore the pool for the first time.  She was a fan:)
