Tonight we honored Dr. Seuss and his contributions to children's literature at Reading Under the Stars. We dressed in our jammies, ate McDonald's for dinner, and read stories for tons of children who returned to school to enjoy the evening. Jack and I are both big fans of The Cat in the Hat, and we got to share this favorite story with two different roomfuls of children this evening. As I read, Jack helped me out with some of the more famous lines and noises throughout the book. What a fun time we had! And for being a part of this special night (organized by Aunt Kimmee), Jack got to pick out a new book. He was so excited to come home and read his new Pooh book about the Fourth of July!
