A Perfect Birthday

It was so nice to be home for Jack's birthday this year because it fell on Memorial Day, and the three of us were able to spend the day together, celebrating our little man.

Our morning started bright and early (I think this picture was taken at 6:45 am) when Jack woke up and we took him downstairs to discover his new train table.  He didn't waste a single second before he started to play!

Look at that grin!

After breakfast and getting cleaned up, we headed to a local zoo where we had so much fun and got to see so many animals, up close and personal.

This llama was quite the procrastinator; she didn't want anything to do with our tractor ride while it was at a stand-still, but as soon as we started to drive away, she came sprinting towards us and followed us quite a way down the trail.

The zebras were one of the few animals that we couldn't touch, and Jack was a little disappointed.

Taking a break in the shade because it was so HOT!

Another shot of our llama friend

Fat rabbit - who, by the way, was doing the bunny nose like Jack and I do:)

Another cute picture of my boys

Obviously, we wore him out because he fell asleep on the way home before we got lunch!

Later that evening, we had our weekly steak dinner and sang happy birthday to the birthday boy with some of his birthday cupcakes (which he NEVER ate - clearly, he did not get his non-love of sweets from me).  He did, however, love the sparkler:)

I love this shot!

And this one because of the adorable look on his face...

It was a fabulous day, and one I made it through without crying, thankyouverymuch.  Three years goes by way too fast...
